Choosing a Quilting System

Wondering which system is right for you?
Use the Chart below to determine the max pattern size you can quilt.  We have measured all of the machines and tested them using a real quilt rolled up on the take up roller (inside the throat of the machine).  This will give you an accurate dimension of the quilting area left at the end of your last quilt pass, which determines the maximum pattern width if you wish to use the same pattern from start to finish.

What size quilt is a 3 ½” roll? 
The roll measurement is the diameter of all three layers of quilt rolled on the take up roller.  We could not label them as Crib, Twin, Queen, King etc. because materials and batting thicknesses vary widely.

Why are the measurements different?
Don’t all of these machines have a 9” throat space?
Yes, they are all advertised as 9”, however configuration of the needle end of the throat determines the available space that can be used for quilting.

What does machine weight have to do with the pattern size? 
Absolutely nothing, we have included the machine weight as an additional reference.
