Q. What size pattern can I quilt?
A. We would love to answer that question! Click here for more information that should assist you in that determination.
Q. Where can I see a Gold Standard quilting
table near me?
A. View our dealers page for a
list of NewJoy dealers in your area.
Q. What if there's no dealer close by?
A. Ask the sewing dealer near you to contact us about becoming
an authorized outlet. Or...it is very possible that one of
our dealers will make arrangements to ship your quilting table
to you. No harm in asking, right?
Q. How much does the table cost?
A. We don't sell retail or direct. Please contact your local
dealer for pricing.
Q. Does the table include a sewing machine?
A. No, but some dealers may arrange an attractively priced
package to include a quality brand name sewing machine.
Q. Is there a warranty?
A. Yes there is. We offer a factory warranty of 1 full year.
However, we are confident that with reasonable care you should
receive many more years of trouble free operation.
Q. How large of a sewing machine can I
use?
A. The table will accept a machine 8 1/2" wide by 20"
long, however, not all sewing machines that fit will function
the same. The available quilting area is 11" between
the fabric rollers. We recommend the following machines: Brother
1500, Janome 6500 & 1600, BabyLock QCP, JukiTL98 &
Pfaff 1200.
Q. What options are available?
A. We have included so many things as standard equipment
that others either don't have or charge extra for, so that
you don't have to worry too much about any options since our
kits are so complete. However, for those who want the works,
we do have a few options available. Those can be seen and
purchased in Parts & Accessories.
Q. How heavy is the full frame?
A. The Gold Standard ships in in two boxes and they weigh
41 & 47 lbs. The boxes will fit easily in most cars. The
heaviest single component in the box is the carriage assembly
at 7 pounds. When fully assembled, the entire frame is 80
pounds and can easily be moved by one person.
Q. How big is the table when fully assembled?
A. The overall measurement is 36" front to rear. To
find the total length, take the desired quilting width (47",
76" or 105") and add 15.5" to get the overall
length.
Q. Can I disassemble the frame for storage?
A. When partially disassembled for storage, the heaviest
component is the carriage and handle assembly at 13.5 pounds.
The frame will store in an area of 11" x 29" x 62"
high.
